NING: My Story of Hope
I grew up in the northern part of my country. It takes 18 hours to get to my hometown from our headquarters city. After coming to the city, I was trafficked by a relative into the brothels. Starfish Project outreach teams visited me while I was working in the brothels and offered me a way out. I have been at Starfish Project ever since!
I worked my way up through production, and today am our Office Administrator! I work closely with our staff to complete necessary government paperwork, prepare contracts, and assist my coworkers with projects. I also occasionally help teach computer classes, which is something I really enjoy!
When I first came to Starfish Project, I lived in the shelter for a year and half. I liked developing friendships with my roommates at the shelter but now I live in my own apartment with my two elementary school aged children.
